> History #118: Dragon Heads
Humor, Horror, and Heavy Metal: How about a Wooden Dragon Head, yeah, that's what I said, A Wooden Dragon Head. It's Wood. It's a Dragon. It's a Wooden Dragon Head.
I went through a bit of a "Wood Working" phase during the "Lost Years". One of my buddies had bought me a Dremel, which is a small drill-like tool that has dozens of little metal exchangeable bits to carve/sand/shape wood with (much like the Death Dildo from the movie Seven). It also comes in handy if you want to give yourself "The Stranger" because after using it for a couple of hours, your hand starts tingling, then goes TOTALLY NUMB from all the vibration. It's fun hitting yourself in the face with your numb hand for no apparent reason. Feels real weird (yet sexy).

My buddy had TONS of wood in his basement, so we decided to make Wooden Dragon Heads of course. Why? Why the hell not? Sounds like yet another Dorky thing to do.

I would draw up the Dragon Heads (see KICK ASS pics above), then carve the heads while my buddy put together the backing plate and candle holders to put on it. Yes... I said candle holders. I have no idea whatever became of those things. I have to admit, they came out kind of cool. I think I still have one stuffed away in storage somewhere.
